Today, the participants cooked meals together with the Italian and Spanish guests, using sustainable food wherever possible. Six international groups prepared the food, one group took care of the table decoration. German, Italian, Spanish and English were spoken, worked and laughed together. The participants exchanged information about different procedures and preparation methods in the three countries and profited from the experiences of the others. So fun and work go hand in hand!
At 1 pm, the delicacies were finally ready for consumption. For starters, there was gazpacho and puff pastry snails with cream cheese. The main course consisted of trout with potato salad and Spanish omelette, and vanilla pudding was served as dessert.
With a full stomach, the participants then went on a „city tour“ before being given an interesting guided tour of the wine cellar of the „Staatliche Hofkellerei“. Not only were very good wines served, but the historical background of the winery and Franconian wine was also explained to the participants. The differences and similarities to the wines from Valdepenas (Spain) and Meran (South Tyrol) became clear.
